Before you commit to booking a session, it’s very important you prepare and understand exactly what goes into the service.
PMU IS a tattoo. Whether we are using manual tools or a machine, pigment is being implanted into your skin. Your overall health and the health of your skin are very crucial for achieving optimal results.
Please make sure:
-You’re not on any blood thinners. Acne medication usage must have ended 6 months-1 year prior session date. Avoid ibuprofen and aspirin for 24 hours leading up.
-You’re not using any retinols, vitamin A, chemical or physical exfoliants, or products like that which tend to make skin more sensitive. Discontinue at least 7 days prior.
- You don’t drink alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior.
- You’re not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You don’t have a fresh sunburn or tan
- You haven’t been vaccinated for at least 2 weeks.
- You haven’t had Botox/Dysport or other tox and fillers for at least 2 weeks.
- Plan for healing to take 7 days to 2 weeks. Any trips or activities where lots of sweating, swimming or sunshine are happening should be avoided during healing.
- If you're getting lip blush and are prone to cold sores, please consult and/or start taking an OTC at least 3 days before session to avoid reactions or flare ups during healing.
-If you are getting lash line enhancement or eyeliner, make sure to don't have lash extensions, eye makeup, or contacts in the day of your session.
- Drink plenty of water leading up! Hydrating your body is one of the best ways to keep yourself and your skin healthy!
I want all my clients to have the best outcome possible with me. If there’s anything more I can do to make that happen, or you have any other questions before booking, you may email me at
proudartistrycosmetictattoo@gmail.com
Also, be sure to email me photos before booking if you have had previous work done elsewhere. I must make sure the old work is faded enough before new work is done. Thank You!
